As the aircraft flew down between the mountains towards Innsbruck they realised that there was hardly any snow below 1,500 m. "I've seen more snow in summer" said Chris. But the huge ski region know as SkiWelt is superbly managed with snow cannons and piste machines. The conditions on the slopes were good. Later in the week it did snow and a visit to Westendorf with the Thomson's ski-guides discovered some of the best powder snow conditions that Chris had found for several years. |
